YouTube RPM Calculator
RPM is the payout divided by views, times 1,000. If YouTube Studio already shows RPM, you do not need this. Use it when you only have the deposit and the view total.
RPM is the payout divided by views, times 1,000. If YouTube Studio already shows RPM, you do not need this. Use it when you only have the deposit and the view total.
The worked example is in US dollars. 100,000 views at $4.00 RPM is $400.00 a month, or $4800.00 if that month repeats for a year.
The formula
Monthly ad revenue = (views ÷ 1,000) × RPM.
YouTube's long-form split is 55% to the creator and 45% to YouTube. RPM is already the creator's side. A $7 CPM billed to an advertiser is not a $7 RPM.
Worked example
| Input | USD |
|---|---|
| Views | 100,000 |
| RPM | $4.00 |
| Month | $400.00 |
| Year, if the month holds | $4800.00 |
What changes the number
Finance and business viewers in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia usually pay more per 1,000 views than entertainment or kids' content. Shorts pay much less per 1,000 views than long-form. A planning range people use for long-form is often a few dollars of RPM, not tens of dollars, unless the niche and the audience support it. Type your own RPM. Do not treat $4.00 as a promise.
